Musical Stars Wellington is a renowned performing arts group, children's theatre, dance school, drama school, and theatre company located in Wellington, New Zealand. Dedicated to igniting a passion for performing arts, Musical Stars offers after-school musical theatre classes for children aged 5–18 years. These classes are taught by professionals working in the industry, ensuring a high-quality and authentic experience for the children.
At Musical Stars, the focus is not only on providing an enjoyable experience but also on challenging and enabling children to succeed. The classes support the New Zealand School Arts Curriculum and aim to foster the development of important life skills. Through participation in the Musical Stars programme, children have the opportunity to enhance their creativity, teamwork, self-confidence, communication skills, and resilience.
- Wellington: Mondays from 3:30pm-5:30pm at The Polish Club, located at 257 Riddiford St, Newtown.
- Karori: Wednesdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm at Karori Baptist Church in Marsden Village, Karori.
- Lower Hutt: Thursdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm at St Marks Church, 58 Woburn Road, Hutt Central.
For teenagers aged 13 and above who are looking for an extra challenge, Musical Stars offers an additional class on Fridays from 4pm-7pm at St James Church Hall in Hutt Central. This class is priced at $300 per term.
For those interested specifically in tap dancing, there are tap dancing classes available in both Wellington and Lower Hutt. The Wellington classes take place on Mondays, with an advanced class from 5:45pm-6:15pm and a beginners class from 6:15pm-6:45pm at The Polish Club. The Lower Hutt tap dancing class is offered on Fridays from 3:30pm-4:00pm at St Marks Church.

The team behind Musical Stars Wellington is led by Talita Archibald, the talented director. Talita is an experienced educator with over 22 years of teaching performance and drama to school-aged children. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Talita brings her flamboyance and enthusiasm for music, dance, and drama to the programme. She is passionate about bringing out the best in each child and believes in the transformative power of the performing arts.
Hannah Lawrence, the Drama teacher and Director at Musical Stars, is known for her friendly and clear approach. She creates a safe and encouraging environment for the students to explore their creativity and come out of their comfort zones. With training in Drama and Physical Theatre in London, Hannah brings a strong foundation in clowning, improvisation, and energy to her classes.
