Yogabellies with Lainey, the renowned Yoga club in Glasgow, is thrilled to offer its highly sought-after Yogabellies classes. Known for its ability to bring the mum community together, this unique Mum & baby yoga event is not to be missed.

The Yogabellies for Mum & baby sessions incorporate traditional yoga postures that have been specially adapted for postpartum mums, as well as some poses for the babies themselves. This class benefits both mum and baby, leaving them feeling stretched, relaxed, and revived. Suitable for all levels of yoginis, the class focuses on core-rebuilding and relaxation for mums, along with baby yoga, massage, songs, and plenty of fun!

Scientifically proven to have a range of benefits for baby's brain development, growth, self-soothing, and common ailments, baby yoga is an integral part of these sessions. Each week, new poses are introduced for both mum and baby, targeting different areas of the body. For mums, the class aids in rebuilding abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor, alleviating back pain, and regaining strength and muscle tone at their own pace. For babies, it enhances their immune system, brain and nervous system development, growth, and offers sensory stimulation for better sleeping patterns.

At Yogabellies, we believe in creating a sense of community. That's why these classes go beyond fitness and baby-related activities; they provide an opportunity to meet other new mums, building a support network during this transformative time. So, slip into your most comfortable yoga clothes and don't forget to bring your yoga mat, water, milk, toys for the baby, and a blanket for wrapping them up snugly.

For Caesarean mothers, please note that it is advisable to wait at least 8–10 weeks and obtain doctor's clearance before joining these classes. We always emphasise the importance of listening to your body, ensuring that you are ready to engage in physical activities post-surgery.
