Mountain Bike Ashburton MTB Loop and Skills Park

Jake from MTB Ashburton is excited to invite everyone to join in on the mountain biking fun in Ashburton, New Zealand! The club, run by passionate volunteers, looks after an 11.5 km riverside loop along the beautiful Ashburton River, and there's a skills park on Dobson St West for everyone to hone their biking skills, young and old alike.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, the loop has something for everyone, with some trickier sections for those up for a challenge. The riverside setting provides stunning views, making every ride a memorable one.

Support from members is key to keeping these trails in top shape. The club works closely with local councils to maintain and grow the biking community. Joining as a member, whether for yourself, your kids, or the whole family, helps sustain the trails and keeps the biking spirit alive. Every membership runs for a full year, and you can sign up easily through Hivepass.

Jake and the team also love seeing the community come together for trail maintenance. They host regular dig days and working bees, all announced on their Facebook page. These are great opportunities to roll up your sleeves, meet fellow bikers, and give back to the trails you enjoy. You're also welcome to help out whenever you have time, with tasks like clearing paths and pruning.

Donations are always appreciated and they go directly into improving the tracks. You can donate via Hivepass, at the Skills Park donation box, or by bank transfer.
