About
David warmly invites the sports community to Mossroddich Trout Loch, a serene fishing spot tucked away in the centre of St John's Town of Dalry. Follow the signs for Moniaive and, after about a mile, you’ll see the entrance on your left.
Mossroddich offers a five-acre loch, regularly stocked with rainbow and brown trout, perfect for anglers of all levels. David has ensured that whether you're a seasoned angler or just starting out, you'll have an excellent fishing experience here. Fish usually range from 2lb to 5lb, with some even reaching up to 20lb.
The loch features two boats, but many fishers enjoy the hard-bottomed shallows. Waders are recommended. Mossroddich is strictly for fly-fishing, with a limit of two fish per person per day and catch and release thereafter. Evening tickets are available, and Sunday fishing is permitted.
David is committed to welcoming novice anglers and young enthusiasts. For those new to fly-fishing, introductions and lessons can be arranged, making it an ideal spot for beginners.
With over 25 years of experience in organising sporting breaks, David guarantees visitors are in expert hands. Whether from the UK or overseas, Mossroddich Trout Loch aims to make each visit enjoyable and memorable.
To book or for further information, visit Mossroddich Trout Loch’s website. Payments for fishing tickets must be made in advance by bank transfer; details will be provided upon booking.
Located just a mile east of St John's Town of Dalry on the A702 towards Moniaive, Mossroddich is easy to find. Detailed directions and a location map are available on the website. David looks forward to welcoming you to this idyllic fishing spot.
