Momentum Yoga is a welcoming and inclusive yoga studio located in Ottawa, founded by a passionate and experienced yoga teacher. The studio aims to create a safe and comfortable space for all practitioners, regardless of their experience level.
Each class at Momentum Yoga is designed to allow the body to work in its full range of motion, incorporating elements of hatha yoga, mindful meditation, and therapeutic practices. Depending on the needs of the participants, some classes may have a specific focus. Classes can be attended on-site or online, and the studio also offers private sessions ranging from 30 to 60 minutes in length.
The founder of Momentum Yoga discovered the power of yoga after sustaining a spinal injury while training for a marathon. Since then, yoga has become a constant practice that has helped her adapt to the changes in her body over the years. She completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program in 2007 and has since worked with individuals with various abilities, including those recovering from cancer and heart disease.
Outside the studio, the founder enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, tennis, golf, skiing, and weight training. She values spending time with her family and friends, and finds joy in connecting with nature throughout the seasons.
