Momentom Yoga is a serene and welcoming yoga studio located in Geraldton, Western Australia. Founded in 2021 by Meg, a passionate and experienced yoga teacher, Momentom Yoga aims to inspire individuals to flow with the momentum of life through the practise of yoga.
Meg's love for yoga has developed over the past 11 years, and she firmly believes that yoga has played a significant role in shaping her into the person she is today. With this in mind, she strives to create a safe and supportive space for her students to practise, fostering connexions within the community of like-minded individuals.
The yoga classes at Momentom Yoga are creatively sequenced to provide a well-rounded experience. Meg provides clear cues to guide students safely through each posture, enabling them to build strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and a calm mind. Her teaching style incorporates various aspects of yoga, including pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, asana (physical postures), and philosophy. She encourages students to explore, adapt, and infuse playfulness into their practise.
Central to Meg's teachings is the belief that yoga offers valuable life lessons that can be applied off the mat. Momentom Yoga draws inspiration from the ever-changing universe, the rhythm of breath and movement, and the sacred mantra 'Om'. The studio's logo symbolises Natarajasana, Dancer's pose, representing the continuous cycle of creation and destruction, which mirrors the momentum of life.
The intention behind Momentom Yoga is to facilitate the union between mind, body, and beings. Meg believes in nourishing physical and mental health and wellbeing through the practise of yoga. In line with the studio's commitment to a sustainable future, all props used are eco-conscious.
Testimonials from students highlight Meg's skilful teaching and ability to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Her vinyasa flow classes are praised for their great sequencing and clear instruction, making them accessible to practitioners of different levels. Students appreciate the opportunity to slow down, focus on their breath, and develop a deeper connexion with their bodies and movements.
For those new to yoga, Momentom Yoga offers some helpful tips. Students are advised to bring their own mats and wear suitable exercise clothing. It is recommended to arrive at least 10 minutes before class to settle in and avoid disrupting ongoing sessions. Shoes are to be left at the door, and it is best to practise on a relatively empty stomach, eating at least two hours before class.
Meg emphasises that yoga is for everybody, and the studio maintains small class sizes to provide personalised attention and support for individuals at different stages of their yoga journey. Students are encouraged to practise at their own pace and take rest when needed.
In the near future, Momentom Yoga plans to launch a home practise channel, offering additional resources and inspiration for students to develop their yoga practise outside the studio.
To get in touch or register for classes, individuals can submit their inquiries through the studio's contact form. Meg is a registered Yoga Australia teacher, reinforcing her dedication to providing high-quality yoga instruction. Momentom Yoga looks forward to welcoming new students and continuing to be an integral part of the Geraldton community's wellness journey.
