Mini Football | Mixed Social 11 & 12 yrs is an exciting event happening in Auckland, organised by the Western Springs Association Football Club. It's all about promoting skill development and providing a safe and friendly environment for players in the 11th and 12th grade.
Participants can choose between two options for gameplay. On Sundays, they can join the action-packed 'In-house League' at Seddon Fields, where 7v7 matches take place. Alternatively, on Saturdays, players can take part in the Northern Region Football League (NRF) at various clubs across Auckland, engaging in 9v9 matches against social teams from other clubs.
For our female players, we offer the choice to play in mixed teams or exclusively in girls-only teams across Auckland. We understand everyone has unique preferences, and if our female players feel more comfortable, they can even request to play in a mixed grade below their age.
Registration for this event kicks off early in February and stays open until April. To ensure a fantastic experience for all participants, teams will be organised based on player requests, and team details will be conveniently emailed to all participants in mid-April. Please note that each team requires a volunteer coach, assistant coach, and manager who play a vital role in creating a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere.
To enhance the game experience, each team will receive a handy kit bag filled with essentials, including size 4 balls, cones, and bibs, right at the beginning of the season. Optional training is available, and teams have the opportunity to secure turf space for their training sessions if required.
Make sure to mark your calendars! The event is scheduled to run from May 5th, 2024, to September 22nd, 2024, ensuring plenty of football fun throughout the spring and summer seasons. Please remember that there will be breaks on June 2nd, July 14th, and July 21st, so you can plan accordingly.
