Approach to healing and well-being. The Retreat Yoga Studio, located at 184 Through Road in Camberwell, is the home of Mindful & Somatic Yoga Therapy for Trauma, Anxiety, and Grief.
At The Retreat Yoga Studio, Pru Trundle offers a six-session experiential course called Embodied Healing: Trauma & Anxiety. This course is designed to provide practical tools and techniques to help individuals work through the symptoms of anxiety, stress, trauma, and grief. By integrating mindful meditation, yoga, somatic therapy, and psychotherapy techniques, participants will learn how to regulate their emotions and nervous system, connect with the wisdom of their bodies, release tension, and move forward in their healing journey.
The MSYT course is offered on Saturdays and Mondays, starting from November 11th and November 13th respectively. Each session runs from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at The Retreat Yoga Studio. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 10:50 am for an 11:00 am start. The investment for the six-session course is $420, which includes access to an on-demand recorded course.
In addition, an on-demand recorded course of the 2021 programme is also available for purchase at $310, allowing access for 60 days from the date of purchase.
Pru Trundle, the founder of The Retreat Yoga Studio and Mindful Somatic Yoga Therapy, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teachings. She has studied with renowned trauma specialists, such as Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine, Stephen Porges, and Tara Brach. Pru's own journey of healing and compassion has led her to create MSYT, an integration of ancient and modern wisdom, yoga, and somatic therapy.
In MSYT, participants will embark on an experiential journey where theory is put into practise. The course focuses on establishing safety through self-regulation practises, building resilience, and attuning to the wisdom of the body for self-compassion and connexion. It is important to note that MSYT is not a replacement for therapy or healthcare, but rather a holistic support for the healing journey.
The Retreat Yoga Studio welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practising for years, this therapeutic approach to yoga will provide a nurturing space for embodied healing and self-discovery.
