Mikey Hall, the founder and lead instructor, has been passionate about yoga since a young age and has dedicated his life to its practise. With over 20 years of experience, Mikey brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his classes. Despite having an advanced practise himself, Mikey finds great joy in teaching absolute beginners, recognising the significance of providing quality instruction to those new to yoga.
Mikey's yoga journey has taken him around the world, and he has studied with renowned teachers, including BKS Iyengar and Pattabhi Jois. His training in the Iyengar tradition and Ashtanga Vinyasa has shaped his teaching style, which emphasises mindfulness and the awakening of poses through physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual awareness.
As a fully certified yoga teacher, Mikey is committed to delivering classes that are expertly and unambiguously taught. He works hands-on with his students, offering a restorative and healing experience. His dedication and expertise have been recognised, as he was chosen to demonstrate yoga asana in BKS Iyengar's book, “Yoga Wisdom and Practise,” and has appeared on the front cover of Yoga and Health magazine.
In addition to his yoga training, Mikey is also trained as a counsellor, hypnotherapist, massage therapist, and cranial release practitioner. This diverse background allows him to approach yoga from a holistic perspective, focusing not only on the physical practise but also on the overall well-being of his students.
Mikey offers private yoga classes as well, aiming to provide clear and empowering sessions that build strength and confidence. These one-on-one sessions are tailored to the individual's needs and can take place either at the student's home or office in central London or at Mikey's small studio in Bayswater W2.
For those looking to join a group class, Mikey also offers Zoom yoga classes on Thursdays from 12 to 1 pm. These classes cater to mixed abilities and provide a convenient way to practise yoga from the comfort of one's own home.
