Merton Hockey Club is a thriving hockey club based in South-West London. With our home pitch located at Harris Academy Morden, we offer hockey opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner looking to give hockey a try, our club welcomes everyone.
With over 300 members, we have a diverse range of teams to cater to different levels of play. We have men's, women's, masters, mixed, and junior teams participating in the London Area Leagues. Our aim is to provide a warm and inclusive environment for all members, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.
One of our core values is accessibility, and we strive to make hockey as affordable as possible. We offer a range of training sessions tailored to different abilities. Adult training takes place every Thursday evening at KCS Sports Ground in Raynes Park, while women's and Back to Hockey sessions are held every Saturday morning at Harris Morden. Junior sessions are available on Tuesdays at Harris Morden and Thursdays at Raynes Park High School, with additional sessions and matches on Sundays.
For those new to the sport, we offer free taster sessions for both juniors and adults. These sessions provide an opportunity to try out hockey and see if it's the right fit for you. We have plenty of equipment available, but we recommend that participants wear a mouthguard and shin pads for safety.
Our club has received positive feedback from members, with one parent, Tim Wotton, praising Merton Hockey Club for the positive impact it has had on his son Felix. Tim has enjoyed coaching Felix's junior teams and playing alongside him in the adult development league on Saturdays.
