The Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor Programme is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about martial arts and have a strong desire to inspire and educate their future students. This comprehensive training program offers a unique career path in martial arts instruction, unlike any other opportunity available.
The programme consists of 6 levels of progression, each focusing on specific aspects of coaching and class management. Led by experienced Instructor and business mentor Sifu Steve Carpenter, participants will attend monthly 2-hour seminars at the headquarters to learn coaching and management skills. Additionally, they will receive hands-on training in actual classes once a week to develop the high level of skill required to become a Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach.
We are proud to provide the Instructor Programme, including all training and resources, free of charge. However, admission is limited each year, and strict guidelines must be followed throughout the 4-year duration of the programme. Participants should also be aware of the additional costs associated with coaching materials, including a coaching kit (£60), coaching manual (£15), and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (£9).
At each level of the programme, participants will learn valuable skills and knowledge that are essential for coaching and managing classes. From basic class involvement duties to advanced coaching techniques, the programme covers it all. Participants will also receive training in class management systems, curriculum training, warmup and cool down techniques, and branch management.
Upon completion of Level 6, participants will be awarded Provisional Instructor status. This is a significant achievement that opens doors to exciting opportunities. Meridian Kung Fu (UK) offers the chance for new Instructors to open a branch on a one-year trial period within a designated zone. If all the standards outlined in the Instructors handbook are met during this trial period, the participant will be granted FULL INSTRUCTOR status.
As a full-fledged Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor, individuals have the option to operate their own branch in any area of the UK. We can even provide a full-time premises on a lease basis, should the Instructor require it.
