This programme is designed for individuals who have a burning passion for martial arts and dream of becoming a Meridian Kung Fu Instructor. It's not just about learning the art, but also about inspiring and guiding future martial artists.
The programme is divided into 6 levels of progression, and participants must successfully complete all levels to obtain a probationary instructor status. To ensure a well-rounded education, coaching, and management skills are taught in monthly seminars at our headquarters. These seminars, led by our experienced instructor and business mentor, Sifu Steve Carpenter, provide valuable insights and knowledge.
But it's not all theory! Participants also get hands-on training during actual classes once a week. This practical experience is essential for developing the high level of skill required to become a Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach. It's a truly immersive and rewarding journey.
Now, here's the best part – the programme fee is absolutely free! However, due to the limited number of new recruits accepted each year, there are some requirements. Participants will need to invest in a coaching kit, which costs £60, a coaching manual priced at £15, and a DBS check costing £9. These items are essential for your successful participation in the programme.
Let's dive into the 6 levels of the programme! Participants will start with basic class involvement duties, followed by an introduction to coaching. As you progress, you'll learn about class management systems and master advanced coaching skills. Demonstrating your coaching ability is an important milestone, leading up to the final level – branch management tuition.
Once you complete Level 6, you'll be awarded provisional instructor status. From there, you'll have the opportunity to open your own branch during a one-year trial period. This trial period ensures that all the standards outlined in the Instructors handbook are met. And upon successful completion of the trial, you'll be granted full instructor status. Exciting, isn't it?
If location is a concern, worry not! Meridian Kung Fu (UK) can provide a full-time premises on a lease basis in any area of the UK, if required by the instructor. We're here to support your journey every step of the way.
