The Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor Programme is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a deep passion for martial arts and a desire to share their knowledge with others. This comprehensive training program is designed to prepare individuals to become instructors and eventually run their own branch of Meridian Kung Fu.
The programme consists of 6 levels of progression, with each level building upon the skills and knowledge learned in the previous level. Participants must demonstrate exceptional skills in our beautiful martial art and have a genuine desire to educate and enrich the lives of those they teach. Only exemplary students are considered for the programme, and they must meet specific requirements.
Throughout the 4-year programme, participants receive coaching and management skills training in monthly 2-hour seminars at the headquarters. These seminars are led by experienced Instructor and business mentor Sifu Steve Carpenter, providing valuable guidance and insights. In addition, participants are provided with hands-on training in actual classes once a week to develop the high level of skill required to become a Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach.
One of the best parts about the Instructor Programme is that it is completely free of charge. This incredible opportunity allows individuals to train as qualified Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coaches without any financial burden. However, due to limited spaces, only a limited number of new recruits are accepted each year, and strict guidelines must be followed.
Please keep in mind that there are some associated costs with the programme. These include a coaching kit for £60, a coaching manual for £15, and a DBS check for £9. These costs are minimal compared to the value and benefits that the programme offers.
The programme is structured in a progressive manner, allowing participants to gradually develop their coaching skills and abilities. From basic class involvement duties to advanced coaching skills and branch management, participants will gain a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to become a successful instructor.
Upon completion of Level 6, participants will be awarded Provisional Instructor status. This opens up a zonal opportunity, allowing new instructors to open a branch on a one-year trial period. If all the standards outlined in the Instructors handbook are met, FULL INSTRUCTOR status will be awarded. Additionally, Meridian Kung Fu (UK) can offer a full-time premises on a lease basis in any area of the UK if the instructor requires it.
