Led by experienced Instructor, Sifu Steve Carpenter, the programme consists of 6 Levels of progression that must be successfully completed to obtain the Probationary Instructor level. Each level focuses on different aspects of coaching and class management, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set that will enable you to become a qualified Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Coach.
To help you master the art of coaching, training sessions for coaching and management skills are held monthly at the headquarters. These sessions are complemented by practical hands-on training in actual classes once a week, giving you the opportunity to apply what you've learned and gain valuable experience. Sifu Steve Carpenter also serves as a business mentor, guiding you on the path to success.
One of the best things about the Instructor Programme is that it is completely free. However, there are certain expenses associated with the program, including coaching kit, coaching manual, and a DBS check. These costs are minimal and well worth the investment in your future as a Meridian Kung Fu (UK) Instructor.
Upon completion of the 4-year program and reaching Level 6, you will be awarded provisional Instructor status. This opens up the opportunity for you to open a branch on a one-year trial period. If you meet the standards outlined in the Instructors handbook during this trial period, you will be awarded full Instructor status. As an added bonus, Meridian Kung Fu (UK) also offers the option of a full-time premises on a lease basis in any area of the UK, if you require it.
