Hemel Hempstead Cycling Club's Mellow Monday Rides are the perfect way to ease into the week. From May to August, these rides provide a chance for cyclists of all levels to enjoy a leisurely ride in a social atmosphere.
Starting from The Fisheries, these rides cover a distance of approximately 17 miles (28 km), taking riders out to Ashridge and back. The picturesque scenery and peaceful routes make it an ideal recovery ride after the more intense cycling activities of the weekend.
One of the great things about Mellow Monday Rides is that they offer a fantastic opportunity for new riders to get involved with our cycling club. By joining us on these rides, newcomers can engage in informal conversations, allowing us to get to know their cycling preferences and interests. Based on their fitness levels and experience, we can then recommend suitable Sunday rides for them to join.
During Mellow Monday Rides, we don't have designated café stops. However, it's not uncommon for riders to take a brief break upon returning to The Fisheries to grab a refreshing drink, especially on warmer days.
