Welcome to Matt Fiddes Tiverton Martial Arts School in Tiverton, New Zealand. As part of the Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Schools chain, we are dedicated to providing top-quality martial arts instruction for all ages and abilities.

Our mission at Matt Fiddes Tiverton is to develop well-rounded students, both on and off the mat. We believe in teaching the principles of Black Belt excellence, which go beyond just becoming a skilled martial artist. We strive to help our students become academic Black Belts, corporate Black Belts, and Black Belt employees, using the Black Belt as a metaphor for personal excellence.

At our school, we offer a range of classes to suit different age groups and skill levels.

- Mighty Matts (age 3-6): Specifically designed to introduce young children to the fun and lessons of martial arts, focusing on topics like stranger danger, fire safety, respect, confidence, and good behaviour.

- Juniors (age 7-12): Geared towards improving physical fitness, confidence, school work, and respect for others, this class also covers discipline, concentration, temper control, and anti-bullying techniques.

- Family Class (age 7+): A unique opportunity for parents to train alongside their children, this class promotes confidence, fitness, coordination, flexibility, and self-defence for the whole family.

- Adults (age 13+): Suitable for individuals of all abilities, this class offers a variety of benefits including weight loss, self-defence skills, improved coordination, flexibility, and confidence.

- Adult Ladies (age 13+): A non-contact kickboxing fitness class designed to help women tone their muscles, lose weight, increase energy levels, make new friends, and develop confidence.

- Leadership (Advanced): Advanced classes that focus on traditional weapons training, forms, advanced sparring, and self-defence techniques for dedicated and passionate students.

In addition to our regular classes, we occasionally offer special seminars and events that may not be held at our school location. These events provide additional learning opportunities and further enhance our students' martial arts experience.
