Guess what? Dave, our dedicated organiser at Mathouse BJJ, has a few things to share about the vibrant martial arts scene right here in Reading.

Mathouse BJJ is all about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and making sure everyone – no matter your age or skill level – feels welcome. Dave’s set things up to be inclusive and supportive, a place where you can really get into the art of self-defence.

Dave's main mission at Mathouse BJJ is to offer top-notch training programmes. It’s not just about mastering BJJ techniques, but also about growing personally. The environment is safe, friendly, and perfect for learning and achieving your goals.

For all the beginners out there, Dave's put together a special Beginners Course. If you’re new to martial arts or BJJ, this course is a great starting point. It’s designed to get you up to speed so you can join the regular classes comfortably and move at your own pace.

Kids are a big focus too. Dave runs Kids Jiu-Jitsu classes for ages 5 to 12, teaching discipline, respect, and self-confidence. The classes are fun and engaging, giving kids a solid foundation in Jiu-Jitsu.

But it's not just about Jiu-Jitsu. Dave’s also added Yoga classes to the mix. These sessions help with flexibility, mobility, and overall well-being, making for a well-rounded fitness approach.

Dave’s also committed to getting Mathouse BJJ involved in local and national competitions. It's a great way for students to test their skills, gain experience, and build a sense of community.
