Ready to hit the crease? Martinstown Cricket Club invites you to join a welcoming cricket family set in the beautiful countryside between Dorchester and Weymouth, Dorset. Chris and the gang are thrilled to offer cricket opportunities for everyone – kids, teens, and adults alike.
Martinstown CC has two buzzing Saturday teams in the Dorset Cricket Board League, with one in the Premier Two Division and another in County Division 4. They've also got an Evening League side in the Dorchester & District Division 1 League. Fancy a casual match? There are friendly games on Sundays and midweek.
New for 2024, Martinstown CC is launching All Stars (ages 5-8) and Dynamos cricket (ages 8-11) to get young players started. For the slightly older crowd, the U11's, U13's, and U15's are in the West Dorset League and Cup, with the U9/10's playing on Sundays.
The club's facilities are top-notch too, with refurbished practice nets from 2020 and an extended pavilion since 2018, providing excellent amenities for everyone. The picturesque ground even attracts touring teams, and the Grounds Team won 'Volunteer Grounds Management Team of the Year 2022' - well deserved!
Whether you're a local, new to Dorset, or coming back to cricket, Martinstown CC can’t wait to welcome you. They’re passionate about nurturing talent and celebrating all achievements, big and small.
With a history dating back to 1928 and thriving ever since, Martinstown CC owes a nod of thanks to Jim Godding for documenting its story up to 1975.
If you’re keen to join or have questions, don’t hesitate – Chris and the team look forward to welcoming you to the Martinstown Cricket Club family! The future’s bright, and they can't wait to share it with you.
