Maria Widdows Yoga is a welcoming and friendly yoga studio located in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. Founded by Maria Widdows, a passionate and experienced yoga teacher, the studio offers a range of classes, workshops, and retreats for students of all levels.
Maria's love for yoga began over 20 years ago when she attended her first yoga class. Since then, the practise of yoga has become an integral part of her life, bringing balance, calmness, and contentment. Inspired by her own journey, Maria made the decision to become a yoga teacher and share the transformative power of yoga with others.
Maria's classes are known for their emphasis on breath and alignment, creating a safe space for students to explore and deepen their practise. Her teaching style is friendly, nurturing, and inclusive, making yoga accessible to everyone. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, Maria's classes will provide a space for growth and self-discovery.
The studio offers a variety of classes to cater to different needs and preferences. In-person classes are held at the Newman Community Centre in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield. The timetable includes options such as Hatha Flow, Flow, Yoga for Beginners, and Gentle Flow. Each class is 75 minutes long and offers a unique focus and approach to the practise.
Gentle Flow is perfect for beginners or those looking for a slower-paced practise. It focuses on foundational asanas, breathwork, and more. Yoga Flow & Hatha Flow classes are mixed level and incorporate variations of Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) with longer holds. Yoga for Beginners is specifically designed for those new to yoga or wanting to deepen their understanding of foundational poses.
To attend a class, students can book a single class or purchase a class pass. Pricing options include 11 for a single class, 45 for a 5-class pass, and 85 for a 10-class pass. This flexible approach allows students to choose the option that suits their schedule and commitment level.
In addition to regular classes, Maria also offers workshops and retreats, providing opportunities for students to delve deeper into their practise and connect with like-minded individuals.
