Emma, the heart and soul behind Manoir Yoga, extends a warm welcome to everyone. Nestled in Colchester, this yoga studio is designed to be a serene haven for those looking to make healthier choices for their mind, heart, and soul.
Emma is not just your regular yoga instructor. She’s a devoted yin yoga and meditation teacher, holistic therapist, and life coach. She’s all about inspiration, awareness, and healing. With a strong focus on breath work, yin yoga, and meditation, Emma’s classes aim to ease anxiety and boost mental well-being for anyone over 16.
Yoga is Emma’s go-to daily practise, helping her stay connected spiritually, mentally, and physically. Her teaching is all about transforming lives and deepening the bond between mind and body.
At Manoir Yoga, there’s a variety of classes for all experience levels. While Flow Yoga classes are currently on hold, they usually combine beginner and intermediate levels with breath work and meditation, focusing on seamless sequences of poses linked with breath.
The Yin-Meditation classes are a highlight and take place every Wednesday at 7:30 pm in Alresford Village Hall. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, therapeutic practise done while seated or lying down. It’s all about relaxation, using bolsters and cushions to support the body in softening and releasing tension, with each pose held for at least 4 minutes.
Emma also offers something special: a Yin-Meditation Sound Bath Mini Retreat every six weeks on Sundays from 7-9 pm. This two-hour session is pure relaxation, featuring calming breath work, clarity through meditation, energy-recharging yin yoga, and the soothing sounds of crystal bowls.
