Are you the owner of Mangalam Yoga Peeth?

Nestled in the serene and spiritual hub of Rishikesh, Mangalam Yoga Peeth stands as a sanctuary for those seeking a deeper understanding of yoga beyond the physical practice. Founded by the dedicated Akiko Kawasaki in 2007, this studio is located in the peaceful Tapovan area, surrounded by the natural beauty of Shivanandanagar in the Tehri-Garhwal District, Uttarakhand. Here, yoga practitioners are guided towards the true essence of yoga, transcending the boundaries of Asana and Pranayama, and delving into traditional teachings that lead to ultimate self-realization.
Mangalam Yoga Peeth offers an enriching and transformative experience under the guidance of Akiko Kawasaki and Swami Viswarupananda, both of whom bring valuable insights and experience to the practice. Akiko Kawasaki, originally from Saga, Japan, has made Rishikesh her home since 2004 and has been a devoted yoga learner under renowned teachers such as Junko Tomonaga and Kiyoshi Naruse. She was initiated into deeper practices by Sri Devendra Vigyani in 2008, which further enriches her teaching and approach.
Swami Viswarupananda, a native of Odisha, India, adds profound depth to the ashram’s offerings. With extensive training from the Bihar School of Yoga and teachings from revered saints and masters, Swami Viswarupananda combines traditional wisdom with practical teaching techniques. His background includes significant contributions to the Divine Life Society's Sivananda Ashram, where he taught Asanas and maintained an active role in their Yoga-Vedanta Forest Academy.
Mangalam Yoga Peeth is more than just a yoga studio; it’s a thriving community of like-minded individuals committed to personal growth and spiritual enlightenment. Whether a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, everyone is welcomed into this warm and inclusive space to explore, learn, and flourish in their yoga journey. The studio's mission remains steadfast: to impart authentic yogic knowledge and guide students towards harmony, tranquility, and self-discovery.
