With a membership of 290 individuals, the Mandurah Happy Hearts Walking Group meets every Thursday at 8:30 am. They gather at various designated meeting points throughout the year, providing a refreshing change of scenery for each walk. In January, members meet at Tides Café, located within the Surf Life Saving Club on Orestes Street in San Remo. In February, they meet at Spill the Beans on Seascapes Boulevard in Halls Head.
In March, the meeting point is Taste of Italy at the Farmer Jacks shopping Centre on Peelwood Parade, also in Halls Head. Finally, in April, the group gathers at Café Manhattan in Mandurah itself.
The walks organised by Patricia, the dedicated walk organiser, are suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. The group maintains a medium pace and each walk typically lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, providing a great opportunity for everyone to improve their cardiovascular health. Unfortunately, the walks are not suitable for individuals with prams or wheelchairs. However, participants are more than welcome to bring their furry friends along, as the Mandurah Happy Hearts Walking Group is dog-friendly.
