Lyn Olson Studio

Welcome to Lyn Olson Studio, a friendly exercise studio located in Tonbridge, Kent. Lyn Olson Studio offers a variety of Yoga, Somatics, and Fit Ball classes to help individuals build strength, flexibility, and focus on their movement patterns. The studio aims to provide a safe and fun environment where students can develop curiosity about their own bodies, relieve tension, improve balance, and find a serene calmness to carry with them into their daily lives.

Lyn Olson, the Yoga Teacher and Somatic Movement Educator behind the studio, has been practising yoga since 1984. With over 20 years of experience in teaching exercise and yoga, Lyn's lifelong curiosity about the functioning and movement of the human body has driven her to continually learn from highly experienced teachers in various disciplines. She is currently in the process of completing a 500-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in Embodied Yoga.

In Lyn's classes, there is an emphasis on safety and self-exploration. Students are encouraged to learn about their own bodies and understand how to deal with what they notice. Practical Yoga and Somatic whole body movements applicable to daily life are incorporated to help students find strength, flexibility, grace, and stillness. Lyn's teaching also focuses on cultivating easeful breath, making the unconscious conscious, and promoting relaxation.

Lyn is grateful for the opportunity to train with renowned yoga and movement teachers such as Lisa Petersen, Christine Howitt, Simon Low, Eija Tervonen, Donna Farhi, Julie Gudmestad, Judith Lasater, Doug Keller, and Charlotte Watts. Her training has equipped her with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to provide high-quality classes at Lyn Olson Studio.

Currently, all classes except for Restorative Yoga are offered online. The schedule includes a Monday morning yoga class from 9:30 am to 11 am, a Tuesday evening yoga class from 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm, and a Thursday morning yoga class from 9:30 am to 11 am.
