David Lee, the driving force behind London East Aikido, is thrilled to address the sports community. London East Aikido, also known as Gen Pu Kan, has firmly established itself in London, UK. This martial arts school holds recognition from Aikikai Hombu Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, and is a proud member of Birankai International and the British Aikido Board (BAB).

Aikido, rooted in ancient Japanese martial arts, is a modern and dynamic discipline focusing on self-defence, spiritual healing, and personal growth. At London East Aikido, the training blends physical prowess with mental and spiritual development.

David Lee wants to highlight Aikido’s versatility. It's used by police forces and armies for self-defence and by business leaders for mental focus and competitive edge. Many men and women also practise it for physical coordination, inner peace, and self-confidence.

Under the guidance of Chief Instructor and Technical Director T K Chiba Shihan, the dojo emphasises traditional Japanese culture and etiquette. British Birankai provides a complete martial arts system, offering deep insights into Aikido through weapons training with Bokken (wooden sword), Jyo (staff), Tanto (knife), and Iaido (Katana/Iaito). Students receive international recognition with Aikikai certificates issued from Tokyo upon grading.
