Welcome to Lochranza Campsite and Golf, nestled in the picturesque Isle of Arran in Scotland. Our campsite offers a traditional camping experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature while enjoying the stunning landscapes that surround us. Located at the south end of the friendly village of Lochranza, on the wild north-west coast of Arran, our campsite is situated in one of Scotland's National Scenic Areas and a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation.
As a family-run campsite, we pride ourselves on offering a tranquil setting for those who want to go back to basics and relax amidst the serenity of nature. Our campsite spans over two acres of flat grassland, with level pitches available for tents and campervans of all sizes. We also offer six motorhome or caravan pitches on gravel hard standings, complete with electric hookups for your convenience. For those seeking a unique camping experience, we have five heated and insulated wooden camping pods available.
At Lochranza Campsite and Golf, we are committed to reducing our impact on Arran's precious biodiversity. We are proud recipients of the Green Tourism Gold Award, which recognises our dedication to sustainability. Our site also features charging points for e-cars, allowing you to explore the island while minimising your carbon footprint.
Situated in a tranquil location at the head of the valley, between glens Easan and Chalmadale, Lochranza Campsite is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The surrounding hills are home to hill sheep and red deer, while red squirrels, golden eagles, harbour seals, and otters can often be spotted nearby. This area is a perfect starting point for iconic walks, including Fairy Dell, where you can marvel at Hutton's Unconformity and witness the geological wonders of the region. Nearby, you'll find the Lochranza Distillery, the home of the famous Arran Single Malt, offering a taste of Scotland's finest whisky.
For golf enthusiasts, Lochranza Golf Course awaits you. A beautifully rural 11-hole, par 3 pitch and putt course, it is spread across the tree-studded stretch of land beside the campsite, with Chalmadale Burn meandering through it. The course features ponds, bridges, and even its own standing stone, offering an informal and enjoyable golf experience for players of all abilities. Red deer and cheeky hill sheep typically roam the course, further adding to the charm of your game.
No booking is required, and clubs and putters are included in the fee. We gladly accept the Arran Golf Pass, allowing you to make the most of your golfing experience.
