Little Tales Yoga is a fun and interactive yoga studio located in Glasgow, offering classes specifically designed for children and teens aged 3 to 20 years old. The founder of Little Tales Yoga, Lyndsey, is not only a certified children's yoga teacher but also a mother of two and a Support for Learning Worker in a primary school. Her firsthand experience with children and her love for yoga led her to discover the benefits of children's yoga as a way to combine her passions. Lyndsey has been teaching children's yoga since 2016 and continues to bring joy and mindfulness to young learners.
Little Tales Yoga offers a variety of classes and services tailored to different needs and settings. They provide regular classes at The Wee Retreat in the Southside of Glasgow, where children participate in energetic stories and games while learning yoga-based postures. These classes focus on helping children develop a sense of self-awareness, both physically and emotionally, and incorporate breathing techniques and relaxation exercises. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, parents, and children over 12 are required to wear masks upon entering the building, but children are not expected to wear masks during classes for their comfort and safety.
For those unable to attend regular classes, Little Tales Yoga offers one-to-one sessions that can take place either at the child's home, at The Wee Retreat, or online. These personalised sessions ensure that every child receives individual attention and guidance, allowing them to fully engage and benefit from the yoga practise.
Additionally, Little Tales Yoga extends its services to schools, nurseries, and other organisations. They offer one-off classes for special events, such as health weeks, as well as regular commitments and block bookings. Little Tales Yoga has previously delivered classes to schools, nurseries, brownie groups, and even taught small groups of pre-school children at their nursery.
