Lindsay Martial Arts Academy

Lindsay Martial Arts Academy is a registered member of the World Matsubayashi-ryu Karate-Do Association, located in Lindsay, Ontario. Led by Sensei Darryl Guiotto, who has over 30 years of experience in Karate, the academy offers classes for both children and adults. Children's classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while adult classes are also available on the same days.

Sensei Darryl Guiotto is a dedicated instructor who has seen many students progress from their first days of training to achieving senior black belts at the club. He flew to the Island of Okinawa in 2017 to grade for his 4th dan in front of the association and regularly visits Japan to keep his skills sharp. Sensei Rob Kerr, who started his Karate training in 1990 and has a 5th Dan in Matsubayashi Shorin-Ryu, is also a skilled and experienced instructor at Lindsay Martial Arts Academy.

The World Matsubayashi-Ryu (Shorin-Ryu) Karate-Do Association was founded in 1947 by O'Sensei Shoshin Nagamine to preserve and perpetuate the art of Matsubayashi-Ryu. With branches throughout the world, the association aims to continue the legacy of this traditional martial art. Soke Takayoshi Nagamine, the founder's successor, has dedicated himself to preserving his father's teachings, and the current WMKA president, Yoshitaka Taira, Hanshi, 10th Dan, continues to uphold the association's values.
