Take your massage skills to the next level with Central School of Massage's Thai Yoga Massage course. In just 4 months, you can become a fully qualified Thai yoga massage therapist. This incredible therapy combines stretches and deep acupressure work, often referred to as 'lazy-person's yoga'. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner in other disciplines, such as sports, holistic, physio, PT, yoga, or Pilates, this course is suitable for you.
Throughout the course, participants will learn the fundamentals of Thai yoga massage in all four positions (supine, prone, side-lying, and seated). They will also discover how to work the Sen (energy) lines and learn the perfect stretches for each individual client. The training consists of 9 days of face-to-face training, including assessments, as well as a day of business training to help attract and retain new clients. To provide further support, in-depth video training is provided, allowing participants to revisit and revise everything they learn in the classroom. Additionally, participants will complete assignments and case studies to enhance their learning.
The course will be held in Leamington Spa starting from 12th October 2024. Leading the course is the experienced instructor, Kathryn Ellis, who explains the benefits of learning Thai yoga massage in an informative video attached.
Don't miss out on the special discount of £100 off the course fee, available until 30th November. Alternatively, participants also have the option to pay in 9 monthly instalments of £175. The total cost of the course is £1,497.00.
This course caters to individuals of all levels, from complete beginners in massage to existing therapists and yoga teachers. There are no prerequisites to enrol in the course, as full anatomy and physiology training, both online and in-person, is included.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Level 3 Diploma in Thai Yoga Massage. This prestigious accreditation is recognised by Yoga Alliance and FHT (the Federation of Holistic Therapists).
Throughout the course, participants will develop the skills to provide a range of different treatments lasting between 1 hour and 2 hours. They will also learn how to give 'taster' sessions. Topics covered include Thai yoga massage in all four positions, working the Sen (energy) lines, and more. To ensure individual attention and close supervision, classes are kept small.
The course structure is designed to nurture and develop students into excellent practitioners. The routine is divided into sections that can be learned and practised at home. Regular practice between teaching blocks is encouraged, and students will have the opportunity to receive a sequence from the tutor throughout the course. Each sequence is demonstrated in small, 'bite-size' segments for students to practice on each other under close supervision. In addition to classroom sessions, students will receive an in-depth manual with colour photos and will have lifetime access to the full video training course.
Spanning 9 days over approximately 4 months, the course includes an assessment day and a business training day specifically tailored for massage therapists. It is an intensive course supported by videos for home study. Students will be expected to gain hands-on experience with TYM through logged case studies after each training session. To provide a comprehensive learning experience, the course offers a total of 80 teacher/student contact hours, along with 125 hours of home study, including case studies. The final assessment will be an observed massage treatment once all home study requirements have been completed.
