Leith Community Archers

Leith Community Archers is an archery club and charity based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Founded with the aim of promoting the sport of archery and providing a supportive community for archers of all ages and skill levels, Leith Community Archers has become a well-respected and thriving organisation within the local community.

The team at Leith Community Archers consists of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about archery. All our instructors are qualified through Archery GB, ensuring that members receive professional and expert guidance during their sessions. We offer regular archery sessions every Thursday during term-time at the sports hall of Leith Academy. Our sessions cater to both families and adults, with designated time slots for each group. The family session takes place from 6:45pm to 7:25pm, while the adult sessions are divided into two slots: 7:30pm to 8:10pm and 8:15pm to 8:55pm. By offering multiple sessions, we strive to accommodate the busy schedules of our members.

Membership at Leith Community Archers is open to individuals who wish to participate in archery regularly. The cost of membership is affordable and can be paid through various methods, including standing order, cash, or online payment. For UK taxpayers, we encourage ticking the GiftAid box during the registration process to allow us to receive an additional 20% on all donations at no extra cost. Leith Community Archers is proudly registered with GB Archery.

Archery has a rich history and is not only a sport but also a hobby and an Olympic event. At Leith Community Archers, we primarily focus on Target Archery, but we also organise outdoor target archery sessions at Beecraigs Country Park. We provide information on archery equipment, maintenance, safety, technique, terminology, and best practises to ensure that our members have a well-rounded understanding of this ancient and exhilarating sport.
