Leigh Ramblers FC is a thriving football club based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. Currently running 42 teams, including mini soccer, 11-a-side, and girls' teams, Leigh Ramblers provides a friendly and professional environment for players and parents to enjoy the sport.
The youth section of the club was established in 1976, but it wasn't until the 1999/2000 season that a new committee was formed, and mini soccer was introduced. Since then, the club has seen tremendous growth, starting with just four teams and now boasting 18 mini soccer teams, 23 11-a-side teams, and 7 girls' teams. With between 30 to 40 players training at the under 6 level, Leigh Ramblers FC aims to provide a level of play for all players who join the club.
The dedication and hard work of the committee members were acknowledged in 2008 when the club received the FA Community Club Award. This was followed by the Charter Community Club of the Year award in 2011 and again in 2015. The club believes in promoting fair play, equal opportunities for all, and creating a safe and fun environment for players to build confidence and enjoy football.
Training sessions take place at various venues, including Belfairs Rec, Chalkwell Park, and the 3G pitch at The Len Forge Centre. For new teams, training is conducted at the 3G pitch where eager players can receive coaching and guidance from qualified trainers.
