

The Laurentides Wildlife Reserve, located between the regions of Quebec and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, is a vast territory spanning 7861 km2. Autumn is the preferred season for moose and small game hunters. In winter, Camp Mercier is the ideal spot for cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and holidaymakers. The ski centre at Camp Mercier boasts the best snow conditions in Quebec. The trail network offers 70 linear kilometres of tracks, with 50 km for classic skiing and 20 km for skating.
Outdoor enthusiasts have access to a spacious, practical, welcoming, and warm building with generous windows overlooking the trails, the sliding area, and the outdoor fireplace.
Camp Mercier is a renowned cross-country ski centre with the best snow conditions in Quebec. The trail network features 70 linear kilometres of tracks (50 km for classic skiing and 20 km for skating). Outdoor enthusiasts have access to a spacious, practical, welcoming, and warm building with generous windows offering a view of the trail access, sliding area, and outdoor fireplace. The maximum allowable width of skis on the Camp Mercier trails is 68 millimetres.
Equipment rental is available on-site. No advance reservation is required (first come, first served). From December 2, 2023, to April 7, 2024 (depending on snow conditions).
At Camp Mercier, 33 linear kilometres of snowshoeing trails have recently been developed. The trails offer stunning viewpoints, with one reaching an altitude of 1000 meters. Guests can also reach Le Pic relay and a shelter, both located at 800 meters altitude. Daily snowshoe tickets must be purchased on-site.
Please note that Camp Mercier in the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve is not a Quebec national park. The annual Parks National of Quebec card is not valid for access to snowshoe trails. December 2, 2023, to April 7, 2024 (depending on snow conditions).
Near the Lac--Nol and Devlin chalets, there are slides available for guests staying on-site. Inner tubes are provided for sliding down the hills. Enjoy a fun-filled winter getaway at the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve, where nature and adventure await.
