Luke Stanaway, the founder of L. A. SFitness, is a highly qualified and experienced health coach and sports scientist based in Auckland, New Zealand. With a passion for fitness and a personal journey of transformation, Luke is dedicated to helping others achieve their health and lifestyle goals.
Luke's own experience as an overweight and unhealthy teenager, weighing 110 kg at the age of 16, provides him with unique insight into the challenges and struggles associated with poor health. However, through hard work and determination, he successfully lost 40 kg in just one year, completely changing his life and inspiring him to pursue a career in health and wellness.
With a specialisation in muscle building, fat loss, nutrition, and whole-body wellness, Luke is committed to sharing his knowledge and experience to empower others in their own journeys of transformation. Whether it's through personalised training programmes, nutritional guidance, or lifestyle advice, Luke provides the tools, education, and support necessary to achieve lasting results.
Throughout his career, Luke has continuously expanded his knowledge and skills in the field of health and fitness. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Exercise Sports Science and Human Nutrition, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with honours in Exercise and Sport Science. Currently, he is also pursuing a Ph. D.
in Exercise Sport Science.
Luke's expertise has been recognised on a national level, having worked as the Men's U17's All White's Sports Scientist for New Zealand Football. He even travelled to India for the 2017 World Cup as part of his role. This experience has further enhanced his understanding of sports-specific training and testing, allowing him to cater to athletes' unique needs and goals.
When working with clients, Luke takes a holistic approach, considering not only their fitness goals but also their lifestyle and daily stresses. He designs personalised periodized programming and nutrition plans, ensuring they align with individual needs and preferences. Additionally, he provides lifestyle and habit advice, as well as unlimited email support, to help clients seamlessly incorporate their goals into their current routines.
Luke's commitment to excellence is evident in his array of certifications, including Fitlink Certificates in Fitness and Personal Training, Fitlink Certificates in Working with Older Adults and Athletes, and being a registered exercise professional with REPs.
