The club's home ground is the Eden Estates Stadium on New Hythe Lane, which was purchased by the club in 1967 and still serves as their playing site.

The club's history dates back to its formation in 1961, when it initially consisted of men's teams playing in the Maidstone and District Saturday and Sunday leagues. In 2012, Larkfield FC merged with Larkfield & New Hythe Wanderers, leading to the creation of over 30 teams, including men's, ladies', and youth teams for boys and girls of all ages.

The club's youth section is particularly strong, with over 30 teams catering to young players between the ages of 5 and 18. This allows for a clear pathway for youth players to progress into adult football. In addition, the club has a successful ladies' team, providing opportunities for women to showcase their talent and compete at a high level.

Larkfield & New Hythe Wanderers FC received the FA Charter Community standard status in 2015, which reflects the club's commitment to growing and supporting football in the local community. The club aims to promote the success of all its teams while creating a positive and inclusive environment for players, supporters, and volunteers alike.

In terms of on-field accomplishments, the club has experienced both highs and lows throughout its history. After playing in the Maidstone & District Saturday league for many seasons, the club earned acceptance into the Kent County League in 1997. They competed in Division 2 East for several years before making notable progress, narrowly missing out on promotion in 2016.

The club's determination paid off in 2020 when they were promoted to Division 1 of the Kent County League. With this promotion came new sponsors, a dedicated committee, and a management team focused on driving the club's success. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Larkfield & New Hythe Wanderers FC continued to improve its stadium to meet the requirements for the Southern Counties East Football League Division 1.

In 2021, the club achieved a significant milestone by being accepted into the Southern Counties East Football League Division 1, which is at Step 6 of the non-league pyramid. In their first season in this league, Larkfield & New Hythe Wanderers FC exceeded expectations by finishing third in the league and reaching the playoff final. While they fell short in the final, the club's performance was commendable, especially considering it was their first year at this level.

The following season, 2022/23, the club showed promise once again, consistently competing for the top spot in the league. Although they ended the season in 4th place, they continued to demonstrate their ability and determination. Furthermore, the club had success in the Les Leckie Cup, winning the final against Staplehurst Monarchs United with a score of 3-1.
