About

Welcome to Laburnum Netball Club, a thriving sports club located in Melbourne. Established in 2000, the club has expanded over the years and now boasts 16 teams participating in the Whitehorse Netball Association at Sportlink Vermont for the Autumn 2023 season. Our dedicated training facility is situated at Laburnum Primary School on Janet Street Blackburn.

Laburnum Netball Club is committed to promoting the game of netball and nurturing the skills and confidence of all its participants. The club offers a comprehensive range of positions within its committee, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Memberships, Coaches Coordinator, NetSetGo Coordinator, and Umpires Coordinator. We are always on the lookout for passionate individuals who are willing to support their child's sporting endeavours by joining the committee or contributing their skills to the club.

To stay updated with our club's activities, you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook, where we regularly share information and updates. Our home ground is Sportlink on Hanover St in Vermont South, while training sessions are held at Laburnum Primary School.

In addition to our regular netball programmes, Laburnum Netball Club also runs the Woolworths Net Set GO! Programme. Designed for children aged five to ten, this starter programme provides an excellent opportunity for kids to learn the basics of netball in a fun and engaging environment. The 10-week programme will commence on Friday, 17th of March, with sessions running from 4-5pm at Laburnum Primary School.

The cost of the programme is $120, which includes Netball Victoria registration, a NET Set GO T-Shirt, a Gilbert Size 4 Netball, and small group coaching. Parents are expected to stay during the programme or nominate a responsible adult to supervise their child.

Registration for each new season is mandatory for all players, including those interested in joining the Laburnum Netball Club. Season team fees, as set by the LNC Committee, are payable, along with the Netball Victoria membership fees prescribed by the organisation. Club umpires and coaches (playing and non-playing) have their Netball Victoria fees covered by LNC. Junior players are expected to attend weekly training sessions as set by their coach.

As a grading club, our aim is to create teams that consist of players of similar age and ability levels, ensuring fair competition, development, and success for all.

At Laburnum Netball Club, we are passionate about fostering a love for netball and providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all players. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced netballer, we welcome you to join our vibrant community and be a part of our netball journey.
