Kung Fu Schools Hastings is a family-run and family-oriented Wing Chun Kung Fu school, located in Hastings, New Zealand. With a focus on individual self-improvement for both the body and mind, we offer Wing Chun Kung Fu classes for individuals of all ages, including children and adults.

Wing Chun Kung Fu is a Southern Chinese martial arts style that not only strengthens physical fitness but also boosts self-confidence and improves posture and overall well-being. Our instructors are dedicated and trained in various martial arts techniques, ensuring that students receive expert guidance and instruction.

At Kung Fu Schools Hastings, we cultivate a friendly and non-competitive atmosphere, emphasising the physical aspects of training as well as the importance of maintaining good mental health and mindfulness. Our classes help students become more aware of their posture, balance, focus, and fitness, providing them with skills that extend beyond the training environment and into their everyday lives.

For children aged between 4 and 7, we offer Little Dragons classes. These classes are designed to introduce young children to the art of Kung Fu in a fun and engaging manner. Through structured lessons, our instructors help children develop concentration, focus, and self-confidence. Students are rewarded for achievements both within and outside the Kung Fu classroom, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.

For children aged between 8 and 12, we offer Junior Warriors classes. These classes maintain the energy and enthusiasm of the younger classes while also introducing important elements of responsibility and respect. In addition to developing Kung Fu skills, students in these classes also learn weapon work, partnering, and solo training drills. The classes are designed to address issues that students may face at school, such as difficulty focusing, relationship anxiety, and bullying.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we adapted to the changing circumstances by offering weekly live classes online for those who were self-isolating. These online classes were well-received and allowed students to continue their training from the safety of their homes. Even as we have reopened for in-person classes, we have chosen to continue offering online lessons and maintaining our fully interactive website, providing flexibility for students and families who may have various commitments or difficulties attending in-person classes.
