Come and be a part of the Kowen Winter Trails Marathon, a challenging and scenic trail running event organised by Kowen Trail Run. Explore the stunning native forests and well-maintained trails around Canberra while pushing your limits in either the marathon, half-marathon, or 12 km course.
Get ready to tackle the different elevations on offer, with the 12 km course providing a climb of over 400 meters, the half-marathon with 600 meters, and the marathon with a tough 1400 meters ascent.
Starting from the Wamboin Community Hall, the marathon route will take you through picturesque Bingley Way and into the captivating Kowen Forest. Half-marathon runners will face Mount Doom, while marathon participants will challenge themselves on Mount Amungula.
Safety is paramount, so all participants are required to carry mandatory gear throughout the race. A gear check will be conducted prior to the event to ensure everyone is properly equipped.
