Welcome to Korumburra Basketball Association, home of the 'Wildcats'. They offer a range of basketball programs to suit all ages and abilities, including Aussie Hoops, Domestic Competition, Junior Representative/Squad, VJBL, and CBL.
The Wildcats' domestic competitions run on Monday and Wednesday nights, offering various age groups for both boys and girls. On Friday nights, they have competitions for boys under 10 and 12.
They have multiple seasons throughout the year, and their canteen provides drinks, snacks, and hot food for participants.
The Wildcats' Aussie Hoops program is an introductory basketball program for children aged 5 to 10 years old. They offer Aussie Hoops regularly throughout the year, and program dates and times can be found on their social media platforms.
Their Junior Representative/Squad Program is for girls and boys from Under 10 to 18. To be eligible for their representative teams, players must regularly participate in their domestic competitions. They enter teams in tournaments from October to March/April, culminating in the Country Championships against other Country Associations in Victoria.
The Wildcats' VJBL (Victorian Junior Basketball League) Program is for girls and boys in Under 14, 16, and 18. It is a state-wide competition providing high-level junior basketball. Games are played on Friday nights in a home and away format for most of the year.
They also have a CBL (Country Basketball League) Program, which includes Men's and Women's teams. Their teams compete in the Gippsland conference, and it is an open-age league held across conferences in regional Victoria.
Every year in late October, the Wildcats organise the Korumburra Wildcats Junior Tournament. In 2022, the tournament will run over 2 days, October 22nd and 23rd, featuring multiple age sections.
