Tim Darvell invites cricket enthusiasts to join Knowl Hill Cricket Club in Bath, a club with history dating back to 1896. This spirited single-team club battles it out in the BCL Division 2 East of the Berkshires, Chilterns, and Mid-Bucks League.
Over the years, the club's had its fair share of glory. They bagged the runner-up spot in the 2017 Berkshire League Bye Week Challenge and the 4th Division in 2012. They even clinched the 5th Division title back in 2000, and in 1991, they were runners-up in both the 3rd and 4th Divisions.
The club isn’t just about competition. They host awesome events too, like the Knowl Hill Legends Trophy where past and present members clash on the field. Last year, the current team, the Knowlies, claimed victory with Tim Darvell smashing an unbeaten 50 runs to earn ‘Man of the Match’. The club’s got a gallery packed with snaps from special games, including the Old Boys match in 2015 and the Work Day in 2014.
Players and fans can gear up at the club’s clothing store which features a range of branded apparel and accessories, ready for the new season.
The 2023 season fixture list is packed and promises loads of action! Kicking off with a home game against Welford Park II, Knowl Hill will face teams like Crowthorne & Crown Wood CC III, Calcot CC II, and Peppard Stoke Row CC III.
