One of the unique features of Kites Badminton Club is that we offer a free trial session to new members. This allows beginners to try out the sport without any financial commitment. We provide all the necessary equipment, so all you need to bring is yourself and a positive attitude!
Our club is affiliated with Badminton England, ensuring that we adhere to high standards in terms of welfare, equality, coaching, and management. We prioritise the safety and well-being of our members and strive to provide a supportive environment for everyone to enjoy the sport.
In addition to regular club sessions, we also organise various social events throughout the year. This includes an annual Christmas meal, where members can celebrate the festive season together, and other social gatherings to strengthen the bonds within our club community.
Kites Badminton Club has a rich history that dates back to 2019 when it was initially established as Knebworth Badminton Club. Over the years, the club grew and outgrew its previous venue, leading to a move to Gosling Sports Park. To mark this new chapter, the club was renamed “Kites” after the affectionate term used for shuttlecocks, symbolising the agility and speed required in badminton.
We are proud to have three Badminton England qualified coaches within our club who are available to provide guidance and support to our members. Whether you're looking to improve your technique or develop tactical skills, our coaches are dedicated to helping you reach your full potential.
