Kikkit Dance

Kikkit Dance is a vibrant dance school located in Kyabram, Australia. Founded in 2007, it has grown from a small dream to become a place where students not only learn dance but also gain valuable life lessons and skills. The studio prides itself on creating a welcoming and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to be themselves and strive to be their best.

Led by owner and operator Kristy Hussey, Kikkit Dance operates in both Mooroopna and Kyabram. The studio keeps class sizes small to ensure that each student receives the attention and opportunities they deserve. Kikkit Dance values commitment, hard work, and dedication, and believes that it's not about being the best, but about trying your best.

Kristy Hussey, who danced as a child in Stanhope and Kyabram, discovered her passion for teaching children and instilling confidence in them. She firmly believes that Kikkit Dance is a place for any child to dance. In 2018, Kristy furthered her education by obtaining teaching qualifications in Dance Teaching & Management at the prestigious Transit Dance in Melbourne, under the guidance of industry leaders. In addition to teaching dance, Kristy also holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and runs a Family Day Care when she isn't teaching dance.

Kikkit Dance offers a variety of programmes, including their popular jazz/funk/hip hop class. This combination class is suitable for students aged 5 and up and incorporates elements of jazz, funk, and hip hop. The class adapts to the students' abilities and interests, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience. Students can expect to learn current music and movements while having a great time.

In addition to their regular dance programmes, Kikkit Dance is delighted to introduce Kikkit Kidz, their preschool programme for students aged 3-5. This exciting programme provides a fun introduction to dance through a 45-minute class. Students will enjoy a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where they can explore the basics of dance, music, and movement in a developmentally appropriate way. Kristy, a qualified dance teacher and experienced Early Childhood Educator, will run the programme in both Mooroopna and Kyabram.
