Ella, the brains behind our thriving local sports scene, has an update just for you. Keynsham Leisure Centre, set in the heart of our town, is now shining brighter than ever after a £9.5 million refurbishment. With state-of-the-art equipment and amenities, Ella ensures it’s a great spot to keep fit and active.
The gym features 60 stations, fully loaded with Technogym’s latest gear. Each cardio machine has interactive tablets, so you can surf the web or catch up on your Netflix shows while you work out. There’s also a dedicated Pure Strength free weights area and a functional training zone for those working on their strength and conditioning.
Swimmers, there’s something for you too! The pool programme caters to all levels, with separate leisure and main swimming areas. It’s perfect for a dip whether you’re training or just having fun with the family.
Fitness classes are in full swing with 40 sessions each week in the new studio that overlooks Keynsham Park. There’s a Virtual Studio as well, offering on-demand virtual group cycle classes. Expect to find popular programmes like Les Mills RPM and Les Mills TRIP, along with Zumba, Circuits, and Ballet-Fit. If you’re after something more relaxing, check out the Mind and Body studio on the lower level.
For families, there’s a brand new soft play area, ideal for kids, with a special section for under 3s. And when hunger strikes, the new café is just the place to grab a bite or a coffee, making it a social spot too.
Team sports are well catered for with a 4 Court Sports Hall and 2 Court Squash Courts.
Ella has made sure Keynsham Leisure Centre is easy to reach, with plenty of parking and great access by bus and train.
