Led by Sensei Bill Williams, a highly experienced and respected 5th Dan, the club is dedicated to helping students achieve their goals, whether it be attaining a black belt or simply improving fitness, coordination, and mental agility.
With qualified instructors and a warm atmosphere, Kesgrave Karate Club offers both children and adults the opportunity to learn karate and reap its numerous benefits. The leadership team at Kesgrave Karate Club consists of highly skilled and experienced instructors. Sensei Bill Williams, the club leader and head instructor, has over 40 years of karate experience and is committed to helping club members achieve their black belts. Senior Lead Instructor Sensei Gerry Turner brings technical expertise at all levels of karate, having earned his 4th Dan in 2013. Lead instructor Sensei Chris Stott specialises in kata and kumite, while Sensei Matt Standring is not only a lead instructor but also a fitness instructor.
Additional lead instructors include Sensei Alex McKay and Steve Holland, who is also involved in club committee and IT support. Kasia Lewandowska serves as the Red Dragons Instructor and Club European & World Competition Organiser, while also holding the position of DBS Club Officer and Club Administrator.
Classes at Kesgrave Karate Club are offered on various days throughout the week, catering to different age groups and skill levels. Red Dragons classes are 30 minutes long and are designed to be fun and engaging for young learners. Juniors and adults can enjoy hour-long lessons, where they can focus on developing their karate skills and progressing towards black belt and beyond.
