Kercock Fishings, located in the heart of the Perthshire countryside, is one of the prolific Lower Middle Tay beats. Away from the noise and stress of everyday life, visitors can come to fish with the assurance of expert guidance from their resident Head Ghillie, who will be awaiting their arrival at the comfortable fishing hut.
Kercock boasts two and a quarter miles of double bank fishing, with good vehicular access and easy wading. The beat is suitable for anglers of all levels, from beginners to experienced, offering excellent fly pools as well as pools more suited for spinning.
Notably, Kercock had the pleasure of witnessing the largest fish caught on the Tay in over 20 years. On October 26th, 2013, Kenny Milne (Jnr. Successfully caught and safely released a once-in-a-lifetime salmon measuring 49 inches in length and 28 inches in girth, with an estimated weight of 45lbs to 51lbs. The record still stands to this day!

Kercock Fishings offers a range of prices depending on the desired fishing experience, starting from 35 to 115+VAT per rod per day. A ghillie service is provided at a rate of 110+VAT per day and must be booked in advance. The season runs from January 15th to October 15th.
The beat provides a wide variation of water, with excellent fly water access and easy wading on shingle banks. Conditions are suitable for both fly and spinning, accommodating anglers of all levels. Salmon are regularly caught throughout the season, with spring salmon starting from the beginning of the season, grilse arriving in summer, and big autumn runs from August to mid-October.
Kercock Fishings also offers tuition in all aspects of salmon fishing and Spey casting. Their well-equipped fishing hut can comfortably accommodate a full fishing party and includes separate facilities for both ladies and gents. Private car parking is available on site.
Kercock offers salmon and sea trout fishing for up to 10 rods per day. There are 8 rods available for rent, with 2 rods retained in-house and occasionally used. Exclusive use of the Kercock beat, with access to the 2 house rods, is an option for parties looking to book the full beat.
