Graeme Leggat is an esteemed PGA Advanced Professional Golf Instructor located in Blairgowrie, New Zealand. With a passion for teaching and coaching, Graeme has introduced thousands of individuals to the game of golf, regardless of age or ability. His main focus is on providing high-quality golf instruction to both beginners and experienced golfers in the Perthshire area.
Graeme's coaching experience extends beyond just the United Kingdom. He spent 12 years overseas in the Netherlands, working as a full-time golf coach in various golf schools and academies. During this time, he honed his skills in coaching golfers of all skill levels, providing structured lessons, private coaching, group lessons, and even corporate golf weeks in both Holland and Spain during winter.
To further enhance his expertise as a golf performance coach, Graeme has actively invested in his education. He has attended various PGA and Titleist Performance Institute seminars throughout Europe, ensuring that he stays up-to-date with the latest coaching techniques and strategies.
Currently, Graeme is employed as a PGA Professional at The Blairgowrie Golf Club, where he is dedicated to improving the golf games of members and visitors alike. With his extensive experience and expertise, Graeme holds an impressive professional membership history with the PGA, with advanced, accredited, and member statuses held since 1991.
Graeme began his PGA training at Inverness Golf Club in Scotland under the guidance of Alistair P. Thomson. His training allowed him to gain valuable experience in coaching and working in busy retail environments, including coaching at other golf clubs in the area without access to a resident golf professional. Throughout his career, Graeme has held various roles at prestigious golf clubs, such as Inverness Golf Club, Loch Ness Golf Club, Muir of Ord Golf Club, Pitlochry Golf Limited, and Myrus Golf Centre.
At the amateur level, Graeme was a prominent member of The Blairgowrie Golf Club, where he secured the men's championship title in 1986. He also represented Blairgowrie in both local and national tournaments, as well as being a member of both the boys and men's county teams. Additionally, Graeme achieved the title of Perth and Kinross boys champion in 1984 and 1985.
Besides English, Graeme has a solid command of Dutch as a second language, along with basic German skills. He continues to expand his knowledge through further education seminars and maintains a keen interest in the Titleist Performance Institute.
