Laura wanted to drop a quick note to everyone in our amazing sports community about something exciting happening right here in London. Kenshukai Karate Ealing is offering martial arts classes for anyone aged 5 and above. It’s more than just learning moves – it’s about building confidence, discipline, self-defence, and fitness.
With classes based on traditional Japanese martial arts styles, Laura explains that you’ll be diving into Shotokan and Goju-Ryu. Shotokan focuses on health, breathing, and those impressive, powerful movements that build strength. Goju-Ryu adds a mix of hard strikes and softer techniques, making it perfect for close-quarter combat and mastering correct breathing.
Now, if you see an eagle on the club’s badge, know it’s not just for show. The eagle stands for strength, skill, and resilience – qualities they aim to instil in every student. Plus, it symbolises freedom and courage, so you can think of it as aiming high (literally and figuratively).
Kenshukai Karate Ealing prides itself on being family-friendly, something Laura is particularly passionate about. It’s a place where the whole family can train together in a non-contact environment, making safety a top priority. The instructors are attentive and adapt to each student’s needs, considering age and abilities to ensure everyone can progress at their own pace.
Affiliated with the NAKMAS National Governing Body, the club maintains high standards in child protection and ethics. Laura emphasises that they are dedicated to providing a nurturing space where everyone can grow and achieve their goals.
So, if you’re keen on starting a journey of self-improvement and fitness within a supportive community, Kenshukai Karate Ealing might just be the perfect fit. Laura looks forward to seeing many familiar faces there, ready to rise above challenges and soar like the eagle on their badge!
