All the club's instructors are Aikido Board qualified, and their dan ranks register with the Aikikai.
Over its more than 30 years of existence, the London Aikido Club – Acton has produced skilled practitioners who have gone on to establish their own dojos worldwide. The club's proud connexion to the teachings of the late Morihiro Saito Sensei continues to inspire and shape its training philosophy. Known as Takemusu Aiki training, the club emphasises building a strong foundation through slow and careful practise, making Aikido accessible to individuals of all fitness levels and strengths. Training involves unarmed practise as well as the use of the jo (stick) and the ken (sword).
