Valerie Burns, the owner and instructor at Keep Fit with Valerie, has over fifteen years of experience in the fitness industry. She has instructed a variety of class styles, including aerobics, step, body-conditioning, and indoor group cycling. However, her passion lies in fitness Pilates, which she has been teaching for the past six years. Valerie recognises the importance of addressing all elements of fitness in a person's training programme and incorporates a variety of exercise concepts, such as yoga, weight-bearing, resistance, and cardiovascular activities, into her Pilates classes.
This allows participants to obtain a variety of training modalities and work on different areas of fitness, including stamina, strength, resistance, flexibility, balance, posture, coordination, and joint mobilisation.
Valerie places a heavy emphasis on improving spinal alignment and the strength of the trunk throughout each session, known as Core Stability. By focusing on core strength, participants can improve their overall posture, stability, and body alignment.
