Keele University KDS (Karate-Do Shotokai)

At Keele University, Mark Hallam runs the show at Keele University KDS (Karate-Do Shotokai), the go-to Karate club of the Athletic Union. Mark isn't just any instructor; he's a 5th Dan black belt dedicated to teaching orthodox Shotokan Karate as passed down by the legendary Mitsusuke Harada Sensei MBE.

Keele University KDS welcomes adults who are eager to learn karate that works in real-life situations. Training sessions are open to both university students and the public. Whether you're a seasoned black belt or a complete newbie, you'll fit right in. Fitness levels? Don't worry about it. Everyone trains at their own pace.

Beginners, listen up! The club offers regular courses to get you started in no time. Just show up at Keele University's Sports Centre Gymnasium on Tuesdays from 18:30 to 20:00 or Thursdays from 19:00 to 20:30.
