The Eastbourne Dojo was opened in November 1995 by Shihan Cliff Bolt 6th Dan, who is still the guiding force behind the club. Over the years, the venue has moved several times within the Hampden Park area until it found its new home at The Cavendish Sports Centre in 2010. Under Shihan Cliff's guidance and tuition, Eastbourne Karate Jutsu Kai has continued to thrive and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2020.
At Eastbourne Karate Jutsu Kai, we have a team of experienced and dedicated instructors. Shihan Cliff Bolt is a 6th Dan black belt and has trained hard to become a proficient martial artist. He has participated in national and international tournaments, including the London and British Open Knockdown, and has remained committed to the development and perfection of this art form.
Our other instructors include Matthew Chea (1st Kyu), Ashley Bolt (1st Kyu), Alex Seng (1st Kyu), and David Harris (3rd Kyu). They all bring their own expertise and passion to the classes, ensuring a well-rounded training experience for our students.
We offer a free first class for newcomers, so you can come and experience the benefits of Karate Jutsu Kai firsthand. After that, our junior classes are 4. 50 per session and adult classes are 5. 50 per session.
Discounted rates are available for siblings and multiple sessions.
In addition to traditional Karate training, our club also offers instruction in various forms of weaponry, including Bo, Tonfa, Nunchaku, and Sai. This provides our students with a well-rounded education in martial arts and self-defence.
Karate Jutsu Kai is a member of the International Karate Jutsu Kai Association, the only national governing body for Martial Arts. All of our instructors hold valid Enhanced DBS Certificates, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students. We are also proud to be a member of the anti-bullying alliance, promoting a safe and inclusive training environment.
