Just For Kids Yoga, located in Kawana, is led by Tracey, a trained yoga teacher and the owner of Body N Soul Yoga. With a passion for bringing yoga to children of all ages, Tracey has created a safe and fun environment where kids can learn and grow through yoga.
The classes offered at Just For Kids Yoga are designed to be fun and inspirational, allowing children to explore their natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Each class lasts for 45–60 minutes, and children are encouraged to have a snack before attending. Drop-in classes are welcome, with a fee of $16, or parents can enrol their child for an 8-week term at $100.
In the fun and energetic classes, children will strengthen their bodies while also learning valuable skills such as self-expression and building social skills. Breathing and relaxation techniques are incorporated into the classes, helping children to focus and relax. Kids have the opportunity to sing, draw, and engage in yoga games, allowing them to release their energy in a creative way. Term 1 classes are scheduled on Mondays from 3:30-4:30, running from 6 February to 20 March, with a drop-in class fee of $15 or a term fee of $80.
For younger children, Yoga for Kindy Kids is introduced in a playful and educational manner. This class provides a non-competitive and safe environment for children to explore their growing bodies. Each session includes breathing exercises, warm-ups, poses, yoga games, and relaxation. The cost for Yoga for Kindy Kids is $8.
50 per child per class, with numbers based on attendance rather than enrolment.
Tracey, the dedicated instructor of Just For Kids Yoga, is not only a trained teacher but also has certifications in teaching yoga to children and Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training. With her experience working in schools and witnessing the stress and challenges children face, Tracey believes that yoga can make a difference in children's lives. She understands that children need support to cope with emotional swings, busy schedules, and academic pressures. Yoga provides strength, both physically and mentally, and helps improve posture, balance, flexibility, and coordination.
